I've been fortunate to practice as a therapist since my internship/practicum as a therapist in 2011 and graduating with my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling in May of 2012. My career began in a practice that specialized in general mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, parenting support, and couples counseling to treating abuse survivors of varying ages and degrees of severity. After a few years in that practice, I began work as a Clinical Coordinator and Counselor who's caseload consisted of mostly children, teens and their families with the goal of healing trauma and building a safe, loving and respectful environment for all. Over the course of the last decade I have run my own private practice where I've done work with couples, grief and loss, relationship difficulty, divorce, trauma, teens, parenting support, chronic illness and managing various life challenges and mental health concerns my clients need support with. At present, I am in the final stages of completing my Doctorate of Education in Community Care and Counseling with a Traumatology emphasis. This has created opportunity for me to learn even more in the field of trauma and therapeutic treatments that support sustainable healing. I have an eclectic therapeutic approach that has been developed by my 14+ years of therapeutic experience, trainings/practice and my own personal experience as a wife, mother, woman and person navigating life. My treatment style is tailored to what the client needs, honesty in facing the pain or difficulty that client may be managing, while holding hope for healing and a better future. I am a big believer that trauma and life experience wounds can be managed/soothed and no-one is beyond redemption if they choose to start the process of healing. I am looking forward to working with you, your family and your significant others.

My ideal client is ready to explore the depths of their emotions, even if it feels intimidating or uncertain. You don't have to have it all figured out. Whether you're moving at your own pace or taking things step by step, I'm here to walk alongside you. I believe that true courage isn't the absence of fear; it's acknowledging all those tough feelings like anxiety, insecurity, and doubt, and still moving forward with them. Together, we'll embrace the complexities and find beauty in the journey. I strive to create a relaxed, down-to-earth atmosphere, and I like to use humor when it feels right. Therapy with me isn't about being scrutinized or treated like a project; this is about two people working together to build a safe and supportive environment. We'll approach your healing as a partnership, and I'll be here to help you go as deep as you feel ready to. It's about both of us showing up with openness and courage to do the work that truly matters to you.

I believe trust and authenticity are what create a strong foundation in the therapeutic relationship. Everyone has a different perspective on the world. We all have hurts and experiences that make us feel like we need to do more or be more to feel worthy of a good life. No matter your hurts and experiences, I will meet you where you are with honesty and genuine curiosity about your worldview. I will walk with you through the hurdles of life. What therapy with me is like: I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician and use an integrative counseling approach, drawing from multiple modalities and theories. I most often draw from person-centered and reality therapy perspectives. I challenge my clients by offering multiple points of view while ensuring they feel they have the autonomy to take with them what works and leave the rest. I welcome and encourage my clients to give me feedback about what is and isn’t working for them. While I have undergone extensive training to be an effective therapist, my clients are the experts of their own lives, and I strongly encourage them to use their instinctual sense of whether something is working or not. I also believe therapy is a great space to practice new ways of communicating and existing in the world—unsure how to have adaptive confrontation? I will support you in confronting me in sessions to practice a new skill. I work with my clients to feel their emotions and not just think about them. I incorporate artistic and somatic practices to improve one's ability to sit with, feel, and release emotions that weigh them down.

As a therapist, I believe that healing begins in relationships - especially the one you have with yourself. I offer a warm, grounded, and collaborative space where you can explore your inner world, reconnect with your authentic self, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. My approach integrates person-centered therapy, attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and relational psychodynamic work. I specialize in working with people navigating anxiety, attachment wounds, relationship struggles, low self-esteem, high sensitivity, and neurodivergence. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns that once helped them survive but are no longer serving them. Together, we explore those patterns with curiosity and compassion, not judgment. Clients often describe me as calming, present, and easy to talk to. At the same time, I am an active therapist: I don’t sit back silently, but instead engage thoughtfully, ask meaningful questions, and offer gentle guidance when needed. I see therapy as a shared journey, one where my role is to provide both a safe haven and a catalyst for meaningful change. Growth often involves discomfort, and I aim to support you in stretching just enough to foster that change, without overwhelming your system. Ultimately, I want therapy with me to feel like a place where you can bring your full self, messy, uncertain, hopeful, tender, and be met with care, insight, and genuine connection. In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about research and am currently pursuing my PhD, focusing on culture shock, reverse culture shock, fluctuations in self-concept, and belonging.

I believe that life and mental health are a journey. My job is to walk alongside you on this journey until you feel comfortable navigating life on your own. Therapy is essential for unlocking the best versions of ourselves. I am an LPCC in the state of Colorado, and I look forward to working with you. I have worked in mental health for the past seven years, including roles as a mental health technician in a hospital, answering crisis intervention phone lines, providing in-person crisis intervention, and offering individual clinical mental health therapy. It can be challenging to navigate life's twists and turns alone. Therapy provides a safe space to explore our inner selves, thoughts, and feelings, gaining insights to overcome obstacles and achieve personal growth. As your therapist, my role is to provide unwavering support and guidance as you embark on this journey of self-discovery.

The hardest part of the therapeutic process is reaching the door of the therapist. I believe that the work begins at that moment. The relationship you develop with your therapist is essential to feel and know you are "heard." Holding space for people and finding a way to the light of healing is crucial. Change occurs when a person is willing to bring the issue or issues into the light. As a therapist, my goal is to assist you in finding deeper meaning and healing. My position is to help you through the process. I look forward to helping you along the journey of healing.
