People come to therapy for different reasons, but I believe they all want to be seen, heard, and not judged for how they feel or think. I am dedicated to providing my clients the freedom to be themselves and guiding them in discovering who they aspire to be. I equip my clients with the necessary skills and empower them to choose and explore what works best for their personal lives and personalities, and ultimately help them to achieve their distinct goals. I have experience with adults who struggle with PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I apply a mixture of person-centered, psychoeducation, CBT, strength-based, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy. My duty as a therapist is to help increase my clients' self-awareness, create healthier patterns, and gain healthy coping skills that they can utilize daily. I also use humor in sessions because laughing is also therapeutic! As someone familiar with experiences of abuse, homelessness, depression, and anxiety, I believe that anyone's difficult past can help them discover a better version of themselves for a higher purpose. Things happen for a reason, and people have the power to choose how their life experiences shape their lives moving forward. It will be an honor to walk with you.

Hi and welcome to your journey toward a better, more authentic you. I am a clinical mental health counselor who strives to support you in achieving your goals. I hope to walk this journey with you, providing a safe space for you to be vulnerable and discover your inner strength and beauty. I am passionate about helping adolescents with eating disorders. With my background working with this population and understanding the personal effects this illness can have, I aim to empower you on your road to recovery and instill the belief that recovery is not only possible but also worth it! I received my bachelor’s in Psychology and Biohealth Sciences from Oregon State University in 2017 and my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022 from Adams State University. I completed my practicum in crisis services and my internship in an intensive outpatient program for children and adolescents. I have experience in community mental health, including crisis services, addiction, school-based counseling, and outpatient behavioral health services, as well as in an intensive outpatient program for adolescents with eating disorders. In these various roles, I have worked with clients experiencing the effects of ADHD, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, and behavioral disorders. The therapeutic approaches I use include Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brainspotting, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-based Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I am also trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy. My hope is to provide my clients with skills, identify their strengths, and eliminate barriers to assist them in moving toward healing and gaining autonomy. I was born in Oregon and raised in Montana. I moved to Colorado with my husband in 2019, where we are now raising our children. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, watching professional sports, coaching soccer, reading, and playing with my children (both two-legged and four-legged).

I believe therapy should feel like a safe space to land—a place where you can show up exactly as you are and feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether you're navigating past trauma, current life stressors, relationship challenges, or anxiety, my goal is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and care. I’m a Social Work Candidate with a Master of Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver and over 11 years of experience in the mental health field. I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, teens, and adults in a variety of settings, and I bring a deep respect for each person’s unique story and strengths. My approach to therapy is holistic, client-centered, and grounded in the belief that healing looks different for everyone. I draw from a range of therapeutic methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, recreational and art-based practices, and I am currently deepening my work in somatic and expressive therapies. Most importantly, I tailor each session to your individual needs, goals, and pace. It’s not always easy to reach out for support, but I truly believe in the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship. If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with warmth, authenticity, and a genuine desire to help you grow, I’d be honored to connect with you.

I moved from Arizona nine years ago to Colorado. I love all the adventure Colorado provides. Most of all, I love the cool summer nights and building a snowman in the winter. While here in Colorado, I have been attending school and have received two degrees in Applied Behavioral Psychology and one Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Therapy is a collaborative journey. As we work together, I believe symptoms can be reduced. I am a trauma-informed counselor who practices from an integrated systems perspective, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy, non-directive approaches, indirect play therapy, and motivational interviewing. My therapeutic approach encompasses relational counseling with a focus on person-centered therapy. I also incorporate a strength-based and solution-focused approach. I also utilize modalities such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Furthermore, I offer unconditional positive regard to all of my clients as we journey together in the counseling relationship.

Hello, I’m Sarah, and I am a Mental Health Therapist providing clinical counseling to individuals with various mental health-related concerns. I have worked in the mental health field since 2017 and primarily have experience with marriage and family counseling, individual counseling, crisis assessment and intervention, and school and community-based mental health services. I graduated with my Master’s in Counseling from Cairn University, and some of my clinical interests include grief and loss, depression, anxiety, and trauma. As a clinician, I aim to create a nurturing, supportive, and trauma-informed space for my clients to heal through an approach that best fits their needs, goals, and concerns. In my experience, therapy is a joint venture between client and therapist where our knowledge and skills are combined to find the best solutions built on the foundation of trust, compassion, and safety. Outside of the counseling office, I enjoy reading, trying new foods, watching movies, and going on walks with my husband.

Maybe everything hurts, our hearts shadowed and strange. But only when everything hurts may everything change. - Amanda Gorman. Emotional pain can cast shadows on our lives that break our hearts. We become trapped in feelings of worthlessness, emptiness, and brokenness. We struggle with distorted beliefs that something is irreversibly wrong with us. It's hard to feel not only that we are missing something but also that we are not worthy enough to have that something. This can leave us aching with sorrow. There is good news: you have a true self that is completely whole and knows how to find peace. My mission is to accompany you in your shadows and unlock your inner power to heal. I’ll walk with you to the other side of your pain, where personal growth and healing occur. There is light and hope. I aim to help you step into the life you desire, become aware of how your thoughts shape your world, and guide you in shifting them to reflect the life you’ve always wanted to create. I believe that everyone has a vision for themselves and their lives that they wish to unlock. I want to help you find the key and show you how our lives are stories that we write, pen to paper, each day. I believe that you can transform every moment of your life to become exactly who you've always hoped to be. My experience has shown me that human beings comprise parts that yearn to connect in a healthy way. At times, these parts are in conflict with one another, blocking our path to success. I would like to help you achieve wholeness with all the beautiful parts of yourself. A key component of my approach as a counselor is to bring awareness to how we create our reality. I guide you in shifting maladaptive beliefs to create an empowering story in which you are fully engaged in your experience. I offer a safe space for you to express and understand yourself and heal. I have extensive knowledge of therapeutic tools that I tailor to each individual client to best fit their needs and goals. My main areas of specialization involve working with maladaptive coping skills and unhealthy perceptions of self, others, and the world. Much of my prior clinical experience has been with male offenders in correctional facilities, where I conducted both individual and group counseling. I worked with individuals who struggled with severe mental illness, interpersonal problems, anger management, thought distortions, maladaptive coping skills, and criminal behavior. I taught and guided individuals in using therapeutic tools and techniques to regulate emotions, manage relationship conflict, and ease symptoms of trauma. I am passionate about personal, professional, spiritual, and emotional growth. I believe that we all have the ability to consistently evolve and continue creating the best version of our lives every day. I am always striving to learn the newest and most effective therapeutic techniques to increase my knowledge and expertise, in order to help you as best as I can. I look forward to walking down your path with you and seeing all the places you'll go. It's time to become the hero of your story.

When we go through difficult seasons, it is easy to feel alone and isolated. When bad things happen to us in the past, they tend to shadow our present; we feel trapped, as if we can never escape from our history. We may feel that we can never improve and that it's all hopeless. However, there is hope, there is healing, and there is wholeness. As your therapist, I fill the role of "empathic witness" by meeting you where you are and walking alongside you in your journey to wholeness. Based on my understanding of the mind-body connection, my professional philosophy involves working with you to explore how your body and brain influence your thoughts and emotions. Together, we can change unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors, manage overwhelming emotions, and promote calmness in both your body and mind. I value the therapist-client relationship because it is essential for fostering healthy change. I strive to help you feel safe, secure, and empowered in our sessions. I am particularly passionate about working with individuals who have a trauma background and are feeling stuck in their anxiety and depression. Together, we can help you regain control over your life.
