I am a mother to three adult children, a grandmother to the sweetest girl, and the wife of an exceptionally gifted husband. Every medical profession, except for mental health, has a specific standard that defines when a client is considered healthy or healed. The optometrist corrects vision to 20/20, a dentist ensures teeth are straight and free of cavities, and an orthopedic doctor restores broken bones to their proper alignment. Therapists are called to help restore, heal, and empower clients to move forward in life. Furthermore, as the wife of a retired military veteran, I have great admiration and love for the men and women who serve our great country. I am passionate about helping those who are hurting due to military deployments, separations, divorce, and anyone who simply needs a listening ear to share their story. I have survived deployments, year-long separations, single parenting, and moving from state to state and overseas. I have endured many life hardships, fought personal battles, and emerged victorious. My approach to therapy is caring, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I use different styles of therapy depending on your needs, but at the heart of it, I believe healing happens in a safe, supportive relationship. I often work with people who are feeling anxious, going through relationship struggles, dealing with low self-esteem, navigating big life changes, or figuring out what it means to be highly sensitive or neurodivergent. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns that once helped them cope but no longer feel useful. Together, we gently explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion.

People often describe me as calm, present, and easy to talk to. At the same time, I stay actively involved in sessions. I believe real growth usually means stepping a little outside your comfort zone, and my role is to support you in stretching just enough to foster change, without overwhelming your system. My hope is that therapy with me feels like a space where you can bring your whole self and know that you’ll be met with care and respect. Outside of the therapy room, I’m also pursuing my PhD in Counseling Psychology. My research looks at how we adjust during big life transitions, including culture shock, finding belonging, and how our sense of self can shift during these times.

I received my bachelor’s in Psychology and Biohealth Sciences from Oregon State University in 2017 and my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022 from Adams State University. I completed my practicum in crisis services and my internship in an intensive outpatient program for children and adolescents. I have experience in community mental health, including crisis services, addiction, school-based counseling, and outpatient behavioral health services, as well as in an intensive outpatient program for adolescents with eating disorders. In these various roles, I have worked with clients experiencing the effects of ADHD, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, and behavioral disorders. The therapeutic approaches I use include Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-based Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I am also trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy. My hope is to provide my clients with skills, identify their strengths, and eliminate barriers to assist them in moving toward healing and gaining autonomy. I was born in Oregon and raised in Montana. I moved to Colorado with my husband in 2019, where we are now raising our children. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, watching professional sports, coaching soccer, reading, and playing with my children (both two-legged and four-legged).
