Hello, my name is Macie, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with 12 years in the behavioral health field. Seven of those years have been dedicated to crisis intervention. I provide trauma informed, evidence-based, client-centered psychotherapy within a warm, non-judgmental, and honest therapeutic environment. I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, and adjustment to life transitions, including career-related stress and decision-making in a multitude of life areas. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented, utilizing clinically informed interventions to support emotional regulation, insight, and sustainable change utilizing approaches such as; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Narrative approaches.

Hi, I’m Miranda Puente, LSW, a licensed social worker based in Pueblo, Colorado. I offer both in-person and telehealth therapy services. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, and I’ve worked extensively with individuals experiencing acute and complex mental health challenges, including schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, major depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mood-related concerns.
I use a client-centered and collaborative approach to therapy, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also incorporate trauma-informed, strengths-based, and solution-focused techniques, always tailoring my approach to fit each person’s unique needs and life experiences.
I truly love helping people on their journey toward healing and growth. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and respected. I believe therapy works best when it feels genuine and human, and I’m committed to walking alongside you as you build coping skills, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward meaningful change at your own pace.

One of the strongest predictors of success in therapy is the connection you share with your therapist, so finding the best fit is an important first step! I believe in the "therapeutic relationship," developing a relationship of trust and respect. We will work together to find the approach that best fits you—your needs, goals, and unique situation.
My focus is to provide a safe place to be heard, understood, and supported. No matter where you are on your journey, I will meet you there, and together we will maximize your potential and develop a greater appreciation for yourself and your ability to reach your goals. Long-term change is a process; it won't happen overnight.
I am committed to assisting you in creating that change for yourself. I believe you possess within you all the skills and tools necessary for change, and I will assist you in discovering and learning how to utilize those tools in the most effective ways. I look forward to helping you find answers, direction, healing, and wellness. In therapy, many issues are openly discussed, but sex and sexual issues can be uncomfortable topics for many clients. Yet, many people have sexual issues that need to be resolved for life to be as fulfilling as it can be.
I am particularly passionate about working with women who are struggling with intimacy of any kind and are dedicated to improving this area of their lives. I also enjoy working with couples to help them identify the underlying issues causing strife in their relationships, rebuilding after infidelity, or increasing their ability to understand one another in order to help them design a marriage they can confidently pursue for a lifetime. I have been accepted into the Modern Sex Therapy Institute’s Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology Program, and I am excited to use this knowledge in my work with you!

My approach to therapy is caring, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I use different styles of therapy depending on your needs, but at the heart of it, I believe healing happens in a safe, supportive relationship. I often work with people who are feeling anxious, going through relationship struggles, dealing with low self-esteem, navigating big life changes, or figuring out what it means to be highly sensitive or neurodivergent. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns that once helped them cope but no longer feel useful. Together, we gently explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion.
People often describe me as calm, present, and easy to talk to. At the same time, I stay actively involved in sessions. I believe real growth usually means stepping a little outside your comfort zone, and my role is to support you in stretching just enough to foster change, without overwhelming your system. My hope is that therapy with me feels like a space where you can bring your whole self and know that you’ll be met with care and respect. Outside of the therapy room, I’m also pursuing my PhD in Counseling Psychology. My research looks at how we adjust during big life transitions, including culture shock, finding belonging, and how our sense of self can shift during these times.
