About Deja
I strongly admire all that social work represents, from relationship building and self-determination to skill strengthening and empowerment, as well as cultivating agency and self-advocacy among individuals and communities, and highlighting the importance of putting systems theory into practice. I apply this concept and consider the biological, psychological, and social-environmental influences on clients and the community. I also recognize and apply the framework of intersectionality as it relates to my clients. Emphasizing a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist lens while engaging in therapy. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Colorado Mesa University in 2019. I then graduated from Colorado State University with a master's degree in social work in 2021. I am currently working towards obtaining my Doctorate in social work from Capella University. During my down time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. listening to podcasts, reading books, cooking delicious foods, shopping, and staying active
