Battling Anxiety and Fear - A Disciplined Mind

One of the most important steps in battling anxiety is to not allow our minds to run rampant.

Even reading the questions listed above, can cause us to start worrying and when we being down this train of thought we must quickly grab a hold of it.

Our thoughts can provoke us to fear and feeling overwhelmed but we must realize, they are just thoughts.

Our mind is a powerful tool and if not disciplined, it can lead to many dangerous activities for our well-being.

Take a moment right now and capture those thoughts.

Fear doesn't have to rule you!

Take Control of Your Anxiety

It's important to upkeep your mental health and combat anxiety in your day to day life. Here are some tips:

  1. Limit the amount of news you watch.  Limit yourself to just 10-15 minutes in the morning and evening.
  2. Keep in contact with a loved one with free resources (Google Hangouts, Skype, FaceTime, etc.)
  3. Pray and read.  Dive into a good book that inspires you and encourages you.
  4. Exercise or get moving around.  Even if you're limited to the space around your house, do what you can to get the blood moving.
  5. Watch your caffeine intake.  Eating healthy is important to your mental health.
  6. Live in the moment.  Again, don't let the thoughts run you down the rabbit hole.  Live in the moment, do what you can today.
