"It's not about what it is, it's about what it can become." One of my favorite quotes from Dr. Seuss, his wise words sum up my approach to working with any client, from preschool age to midlife. I believe in transparency, and in client empowerment; YOU are the one who decides what your goals are; my hope and my goal is to help you work through whatever obstacles you may be facing, and develop a road map for success. With several years of experience in trauma therapy, I believe in establishing a safe environment, and I promise all of my clients that your voice will be heard. I look forward to working with you and discovering what can become of the journey we take together!

Teletherapy (video or phone sessions) is a great alternative to in-person therapy if desired, and I would be honored to support you during this time of uncertainty.

Ages

I have experience working with all ages, starting as young as three years old. I believe strongly in utilizing play therapy with children of all ages, as I believe that the best way kids can communicate is when they bring you into their world, and that occurs most often through games and play. I am TF-CBT certified and have worked with children, teenagers and adults in addressing issues of trauma, specifically physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. With ages from elementary school up through middle age, I partner with them to provide a safe place to tell their stories and to develop the tools needed to heal. I also work with high school students as they address issues related to adolescence, particularly self-esteem, relationship issues, depression, and anxiety. I have also worked with both children and family members in addressing issues related to addiction, domestic violence, and many other difficulties and challenges.
