I am a mother to 3 adult children, grandmother to the sweetest girl, and the wife of a very gifted husband. As a therapist, I've been challenged in treating people to a standard or healed. Every medical profession, except that of mental health, has a standard to bring a client to, in order to be considered healthy or healed. The Optometrist corrects vision to 20/20, a dentist corrects teeth to be straight or with no cavities, an orthopedic doctor corrects broken bones back in alignment. Therapists are called on to help restore, heal, and empower clients to move forward in life.

Furthermore, as a wife of a retired military veteran, I have great admiration and love for our men and women who serve our great country. I have a passion to help those who are hurting through military deployments, separations, divorce, and all those who just need a listening ear to hear their story. I have survived deployments, yearlong separations, single parenting, and moving from state to state and overseas. I have endured many life hardships and fought many personal wars and have come out victorious.

In addition, I have worked with the parole and probation population, bipolar disorder, depression, trauma, schizophrenia, and those with addiction type issues. I enjoy working with adults. Specializes in: Military Lifestyle, depression, anxiety, Co-dependency, addiction, and marital infidelity. My counseling style seeks to meet the needs of those I counsel. I am a faith-based counselor and have experience in CBT, DBT-based technique, Reality-focused, and SFBT.

The most daunting challenge for any client seeking help is making the first contact and walking through the door...there is victory on the other side if you are willing to take the first step in seeking it. My door is wide open and longing to help those who are weary, downtrodden or who just need to be affirmed or encouraged.

My clients say I am listening intently, I engaged passionately, and have the ability to be direct, courageous, and yet kind and empathetic.

Teletherapy (video or phone sessions) is a great alternative to in-person therapy if desired, and I would be honored to support you during this time of uncertainty.
